Function Junction Teen Algebra

This engaging pre-algebra class is designed to establish a strong mathematical foundation by identifying students’ current skill levels and reinforcing key pre-algebra concepts. We begin with a pre-test to establish learning baselines, allowing instruction to be tailored to meet learners where they are.

Core topics include:

• A comprehensive review of the order of operations and arithmetic fundamentals

• Reinforcement of factoring and expanding algebraic expressions

• Comparing and interpreting data presented in tables and graphs

• Identifying patterns and relationships to support algebraic thinking

Taught by Hermann Armenta, a seasoned educator with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Texas Educator Certifications in Mathematics and Physics (Grades 7–12). With over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring math and physical sciences, Hermann brings clarity, depth, and enthusiasm to every lesson. 

Ideal for middle school and early high school students, this course ensures learners are confident, prepared, and inspired to move forward in their math journey.

Special note: students will need a spiral notebook, a pocket folder for keeping worksheets, and a pencil.
