ITAV Enrichment Centers – FAQ's
How do you teach contentious or controversial issues?
We present both sides of every argument while highlighting common fallacies often found in mainstream perspectives. Students explore how and why arguments can be manipulated by each side. Discussions are approached respectfully, to spark thoughtful conversations at home. We encourage debate, critical thinking, and respectful dialogue on every topic.
What is a homeschool enrichment center?
A homeschool enrichment center enhances your child’s learning experience by offering opportunities that can be hard to achieve at home. This includes group activities, field trips, peer debates, travel opportunities at discounted rates, physical education, sports, group music classes, arts, and discounted rates at local businesses. Our comprehensive curriculum goes beyond standard lessons to foster growth, curiosity, and well-rounded learning.
Who are your teachers?
Our instructors are carefully chosen experts with advanced degrees or extensive professional experience. More importantly, they are passionate about helping students learn, grow, and build confidence.
How often do you do field trips?
We schedule field trips regularly to complement classroom learning with hands-on experiences.
How can I help support ITAV Enrichment Centers?
There are several ways to partner with us:
Donations – Your contributions help provide scholarships for families in need and allow us to expand opportunities while keeping costs affordable.
Volunteering – Parent involvement helps our programs run smoothly. The more support we have, the more enriching experiences we can provide our students.
Am I required to drop off my child or can I join them for a class?
Parents are always welcome. You may join your child in class, drop them off, or relax/work in another part of our building.
I wish we could afford this but we can’t.
Please reach out to us! We offer scholarships (when available) and fundraising opportunities to help make ITAV accessible for every family. We also partner with local businesses to offer classes at discounted rates, making our programs more accessible and affordable for everyone.
So you’re actually a school?
Not quite—we are not a school. We are an enrichment center. Our role is to support your homeschooling, not replace it. You are still the primary educator using your own curriculum. We simply fill in the gaps and enrich your child’s journey.
What curriculum do you use?
We design our own curriculum, carefully crafted to strengthen critical thinking, creativity, and real-world skills.
This adds so much to our schedule! We just don’t have time.
Our programs are designed to simplify your schedule. By working together and attending classes at the same location, businesses and services come to us—reducing extra commutes. Plus, our community of parents often helps each other with carpooling, making the load lighter for everyone.
