Boys Sewing Class: Men’s Swim Trunks for Christmas

Tuesdays at 1:30 PM beginning November 19th - December 17th. This boys-only sewing class builds valuable life skills, independence, and creativity. Learning to sew is a practical, hands-on skill that teaches problem-solving, patience, and the satisfaction of creating something useful from scratch. In this class, boys will sew a pair of high-quality adult Men’s swim trunks for themselves or a family member, making it the perfect gift just in time for Christmas.

Boys can choose from our in-stock Nadia Lorenzo Fabrics at ITAV Enrichment Center in class for $8 per yard (1.5-2 yards needed) or select a premium, custom-printed fabric from Sew Reina Design Co. ($28 per yard). All Sew Reina fabrics are crafted from fade-resistant, durable materials, printed with designs from small business artists, and sourced from the only quality U.S.-printed fabric shop. The leftover fabric can even be used to make themselves matching swim trunks in January.

Please note: Sewing machines are required but not provided. Affordable options are available on Marketplace or at Walmart for under $100. This class is a unique way to equip boys with real-world skills and an appreciation for craftsmanship.
