It’s time for a HISTORY SHOWDOWN you won’t forget! After learning about the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights at 12:15 PM, get ready to bring the heat with an all-out debate! This is your chance to tackle the big questions about these powerful documents and figure out if they still mean what we think they mean today.

Why is this history important? These founding documents changed everything, but there are some serious questions about whether they still hold up today. What do they really say? Who do they really help? And are they still as important as we think they are? It’s time to find out through an epic debate!

Class Details:

• Date: April 29th

• Time: 1:15 PM - 2:15 PM

• Location: 1301 N Oregon, 2nd Floor

• Ages: Recommended for 8+ (Must attend the 12:15 class to participate)

Class Format:

• 30 minutes of brainstorming: You’ll be split into teams and assigned a debate topic. Get ready to work with your group to come up with the best arguments, make your points, and get your team fired up!

• 30 minutes of all-out debate: This is where the magic happens! Each team will go head-to-head, using everything they’ve learned to defend their side, argue fiercely, and blow the other team away with their facts and passion!

Explosive Debate Topics:

1. Should the Declaration of Independence be a law today, or is it just a cool story from the past?

2. Is the Bill of Rights really fair to everyone, or does it leave some people out?

3. The Constitution says all men are equal, but does that mean boys and girls are treated the same?

4. Should the Founding Fathers’ rules still be followed exactly, or is it time to rewrite the whole thing?
