Sewing & Clothing Design Class at It Takes A Village Homeschool Enrichment Center

Join us for a creative journey into sewing and clothing design! In collaboration with Sew Reina Design Co., our experienced instructor, with 7 years in clothing and swimwear design and over 20 years of sewing experience, will guide students through a comprehensive beginner's course.

Class Details:

• When: Wednesdays, 11am - 12pm (begins September 4th)
• Where: It Takes A Village Homeschool Enrichment Center, 1301 N Oregon St

Course Highlights:

• Learn to set up and use a sewing machine.
• Master essential beginner stitches.
• Explore various textiles and their uses.
• Create your own outfits using sewing patterns.
• Sewing 101: Choose 2 patterns (bow tie, vest, suspenders, bows, aprons, doll dresses) to start your sewing journey. Patterns provided digitally and in print; fabrics and patterns available for purchase on-site. You may also bring your own fabrics. Please ensure they are non-stretch cotton woven (quilter’s cotton) fabrics. They cannot be rayon, linen, or poly cotton. Students will need approximately half a yard. 
• Use of cutting mats, scissors, rotary blades, and an iron included.
• Bring your own machine or opt for a rental. ($15/month, with a rent-to-own option). We only have TWO machines to rent this month! First come, first serve

Cost: $15 per class, paid monthly in advance.
