Teens Advanced Literary Analysis and Composition: My Mother’s Secret

Dive deep into history, literature, and moral philosophy in this advanced class based on the powerful book My Mother’s Secret. Meeting from 9:15AM-10:30 AM, students will read and analyze the story, examining the Nazi invasion of Europe and the Holocaust. Together, we’ll explore the themes of character, hope, and love in times of immense hardship.

Through discussions and composition activities, students will grapple with moral questions surrounding bravery, honor, and difficult choices during war and genocide. The class also includes a field trip to the Holocaust Museum, where students will gain a deeper understanding of the historical context behind the book.

This course is designed for students ready to engage in meaningful discussions and strengthen their writing skills.
