Semester Commitment, Learning Philosophy, and Policies
Our classes are designed with an entire semester in mind. We request attendance in full or as often as possible to ensure continuity of learning, community, and skill development.
We do not assign grades. Our approach is to help students see academics as more than a score to achieve — we want them to learn deeply, grow personally, and become citizens of the world who can complete tasks without relying on external rewards. While we can assist with transcript preparation, final grading is the responsibility of the parent. This does not mean students will not work hard; rather, we believe in fostering a love of learning, not a love of grades.
Required Materials:
Students are expected to come prepared with pencils, two writing notebooks, two binders, and all assigned books (either purchased or borrowed). Reading the assigned books throughout the semester is essential. Without consistent reading, class discussions lose depth and meaning, which diminishes the overall experience for everyone. Lack of preparation not only frustrates the student but also impacts the learning environment for the entire class.
Use of AI:
While we are not strictly a no-AI campus, we adamantly discourage students using AI to correct their writing work or complete assignments. Written works generated or significantly altered by AI will not receive feedback. AI is a valuable tool when used wisely, particularly for freeing up time in professional or personal life as an adult; however, using it to think and write for you defeats the purpose of these classes. Our goal is to develop critical thinkers and leaders — individuals who can analyze, create, and express ideas independently.
Semester Commitment & Payment Policy
Enrollment in our program is for the entire semester. Upon registration, you are committing to pay the full semester tuition in its entirety.
We offer the convenience of four monthly installment payments; however, the total balance must be paid in full no later than December 5, 2025.
Please note:
-
Withdrawing from the program before the end of the semester does not release you from your financial obligation.
-
Tuition remains due in full, regardless of continued attendance.
-
No refunds or credits will be issued under any circumstances.
Exceptions to this policy include a pending or upcoming Permanent Change of Station (PCS), please inform us at the start of the semester so we can properly plan for class sizes and materials. A pending PCS will not disqualify you from attending, and we will work with you to arrange tuition suited to your situation and future plans.
By enrolling, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
